Looking for a running "buddie"

Postby Mary » Wed Dec 28, 2005 2:10 pm

Are there any female, novice (meaning not really fast) runners out there looking for a running "buddie"? I want to get back into my routine, but am having a hard time. I think maybe running with someone will help.

Hey Mary (Nobody say anything now) have you tried one of the running stores? Both Final Kick and Running Etc. have group runs on various days. Give either of them a shot and see what works out for you.

The running stores might seem intimidating at first, there are a lot of fast people that start their runs there. But, the people at both are very nice, and you are sure to find someone going your pace.

Running Etc in Ghent

We run intervals on Tuesdays - and long runs (6-10 mi) on Thursdays. We meet at 5:30. There are lots of guys, and gals, all at different paces, etc. Thursday, after the run, we typically go down to the Red Dog Saloon on Colley for Pizza and Beer.

I just started running with these folks last Summer, and I've made some great friends. We'd love to have you!
